The USS Enterprise, the first nuclear aircraft carrier in the world, has been officially retired today at a ceremony in Norfolk, Virginia, including an special appearance by Captain Kirk himself. Since is comissioning in November 1961, it's been 51 years of service under
ten Commanders-in-Chief, including John F. Kennedy and a central role in the Cuban missiles crisis.
