Resource Optimisation HR Manager | AER International

For our client ? an international mining operation in West Africa ? we are looking for:

Resource Optimisation HR Manager

Key Responsibilities:

This position will be required to adhere to all relevant requirements, policies, procedures and legal regulations pertaining to health, safety, environment and quality, as well as finance, human resources, and any other regulations as required by the company and relevant to the level of the role and responsibilities of the function.

Set up new process and identify opportunities for process and system improvement in the ROD function

Develop project plans to support improvement projects initiated by ROD for the business.

Work with Corporate HR to implement Group wide HR projects and to ensure adherence to Group HR policies and guidelines.

Lead projects within ROD function through effective project and change management processes.

Establish project teams and provide guidance and mentoring for team members.

Develop and implement best practice in Human Resource processes

Consult with the HR Team to develop the HR Brand

Liaise with the Corporate HR to ensure alignment of processes and systems.

Manage expatriate processes including recruitment and selection, remuneration, on-boarding, leave & travel management and performance management.

Under the direction of the Resource Optimization Manager, work with external consultants and recruitment agencies to ensure optimal staffing levels

Provide support for the Manager in all areas of the Resource Optimization Department.

Provide training to HR team and Plant employees during change processes.

Active support the integration of HR information systems, ensure accuracy of data and identify opportunities for further integration.

Design and implement HR Communication and marketing strategies.

Provide training and development opportunities for all direct reports on an on-going basis

Qualifications:

Diploma in Human Resource Management or equivalent

?

Experience:

Minimum of 10 years relevant experience with at least 5 of those years in a managerial capacity

Experience in project and change management is essential

Experience in HR Systems and integration is essential

Experience in an African country is a strong advantage
